Innovative content studio FunFair Games has announced former Entain Director, Mark McGinley, as its new chief executive officer (CEO), reinforcing the company’s commitment to lead the development of a new style of content for the igaming industry.

In his role, Mr McGinley will help further scale the business and enhance its product roadmap, allowing FunFair Games to accelerate its games output and global distribution.

He previously worked as Entain’s director of game studios where he managed the company’s internal game production. Having also held senior roles at RNG Foundry, Casumo and Odobo, he brings with him a significant level of experience in studio management, game production and distribution.

FunFair Games was launched to take advantage of the potential around the multiplayer games vertical and since its inception, the company has looked to innovate. Mr McGinley’s appointment will help take the company to the next level.

As part of the announcement, FunFair Games’ COO, Lloyd Purser, will take a step back to focus on FunFair Ventures, the venture capital business, giving the FunFair Technologies group two developing brands in its portfolio.

Lloyd Purser, COO of FunFair Games, said: “Everyone at FunFair Games is thrilled to have Mark on board as his experience and contacts across the industry will be invaluable to the business.

“In our journey so far we’ve proved that the market is ripe for a new style of game. The next stage of that journey is to up the ante and make our games an absolute must have for operators looking to drive new revenue streams with a more diverse portfolio. Mark is exactly what we need to take FunFair Games to the next level and we’re extremely excited to have him as our new CEO.”

Mark McGinley, FunFair Games CEO, added: “I’m proud to have been made the CEO of such an innovative and exciting company as FunFair Games and I’m looking forward to helping the business expand and strengthen its foothold in the iGaming industry.

“The multiplayer vertical has garnered a lot of attention lately, with many realising how prosperous this area can be, and FunFair Games aims to be at the forefront of this exciting space in the industry.”
