“The setting up of this council continues to confirm the vision of this Government, that of enhancing the ecosystem of the iGaming industry here in Malta. According to a recent survey, it seems that in the years to come gaming will be one of the sectors that will continue to flourish. The aim of this council, when it comes to this sector, is to also see that our jurisdiction remains attractive and continues to register growth. We believe that this sector can grow further,” stated Minister Schembri.

The Council’s experience and connections will also help see new industries such as videogame development, esports and other sectors using blockchain technology continue to grow, as the council can boast of members involved in companies of international repute.
