world pro racing launch

On Tuesday, the World Pro Racing, Development and Entertainment Centre was officially inaugurated, including 17 simulators, a private simulation room, full telemetry and adjudication systems, two broadcasting rooms and a studio for live programmes.

Celebrating the inauguration, World Pro Racing CEO and Founder, Justin Mifsud, took to LinkedIn where he shared a powerful message of the triumph felt at seeing the project through from its inception, despite the challenges that came up.

“Finally, after four years of passion, determination, endless days working day and night to build a dream which many believed was something that we Maltese are not capable of doing, I can proudly say we have officially inaugurated our Sim Racing, training, development and entertainment facility” by Economy and Industry Minister Silvio Schembri and GamingMalta COO Ivan Filletti.

Mr Mifsud shared that the facility will cater for all ages to grow in the world of esports and motorsport, not only on the driving aspect but also including an educational curriculum.

“We kept going and going against all odds with a collaborative effort and support from those that believed in us from day one”, he said.

“It’s not easy to take a big risk and make your life turn upside down with strong winds against you but if your endeavour is driven and fuelled by purpose, then giving up is never an option. You’ll find the courage and persistence to look past the problems and difficulties along your path and instead focus on finding solutions.”

Mr Mifsud remarked that the company has built a solid international brand that puts Malta in the spotlight globally by broadcasting its events worldwide on TV and OTT stations thanks to all our broadcasting partners that believed in World Pro Racing’s content.

“I always believed in the local product and talent and I assure you that my vision will keep on being fruitful to bring young and upcoming potential athletes to the top.”

Mr Mifsud thanked partners Adrian Figallo, George Muscat and the entire team behind the scenes that gave all their strength and effort to make to see the project through.

“Looking to the future, we will continue to improve our strength and product for more success and achievements in the coming years with local and international events.”

He also thanked the company’s main sponsors and partners “that believed in our vision and joined on board to make us grow and strong as we are today. GamingMaltaAMDHyperX, GT Omega Racing, Thrustmaster, Datavideo and Esports Insider”.

Closing off on an optimistic and triumphant tone, Mr Mifsud said:

“Regardless of who you are in this world, life is full of challenges. Whatever your goals or dreams, you’re bound to encounter obstacles before hitting your targets. You’ll always have to fight through hardships and suffer your fair share of pain before you achieve success. But once you reach that success you’ve been working for, it will be that much sweeter.”
